SUPPORT TO YOUNG CHESS PLAYERS

 On the occasion of City of Nis Youth Day, Chess Association of Nis County, in the cooperation with the Youth Office and under sponsorship of Palilula Municipality, organized traditional chess tournament for the pupils of elementary and secondary schools with the title Day of Nis young people 2014. Tournament was played in elementary school Branko Miljkovic and 7 circles including according to Swiss system with play tempo 15 minutes per one player. President of Palilula Boban Dzunic opened this tournament with addressing to young participants of the tournament, their parents and present public emphasizing that among other things Palilula Municipality is always ready to to help chess players, specially young ones in accordance with its own possibilities.

MORNING INFO PROGRAMME GUEST -BOBAN DZUNIC, PALILULA MUNICIPAL PRESIDENT

 Everything is ready for traditional Palilula Night, organized this year on September 3 and dedicated to 100 years of Great war beginning and 70 years of Nis liberation in the Secong WW, said Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality. Beside rich music-stage programme, at the plateau in front of Palilula market place, the exhibitions of hand made works, Festival of wine and promotion of Palilula newspaper are also organized. Although this year Palilula night is organized two months after the usual term because of the solidarity for the citizens who had flooded houses during May and June this year, it does not mean that this cultural manifestation will not fulfill the expectations.
Programme starts at 19 30 at Palilula crossroad stop and will last until late night.

EQUESTRIAN CLUB `NONIUS` AND SCOUTS FOR PALILULA NIGHT

 Under the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality, organizations of civil societies Equestrian club Nonius and `Kralj Petar Prvi` scouts, within Palilula Night 2014, sport recreation activities that will take place from August 29 to 31 were promoted in Memorial Park Bubanj. Participants of this event were visited by Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality together with the members of Municipal Council.
On this occasion president Dzunic pointed at the strategic determinations of the Municipality to support the activities of organizations of civil societies and youth initiatives.

TWELTH REGUAL MUNICIPAL SESSION HELD

 Twelth regular Municipal session of Palilula Municipality was organized in NKC. During the session, after the adoption of the minutes from the 11th session previously held, the councillors positively estimated the proposal of the ammendements to the law and additions of the Plan for detailed regulation in `9 May` settlement, accroding to which Brestovacka street partly will change its previous planned trace, so that the pulling down of the residental family object that is located there could be avoided.

PALILULA NIGHT 2014 PROGRAMME PROMOTED

 Traditional cultural manifestation - Palilula Night by Palilula Municipality -City of Nis will be organized on September 3 2014. This year`s manifestation is dedicated to remembering 100 years of First World War beginging and 70 years from the liberation of Nis during the Second World War, preserving cultural and historical heritage of Serbian people and memory for great courage of Serbian soldiers and country freedom. According to the words of Palilula president Palilula Night will begin at 20 30 and will be opened by the Mayor of Nis PhD Zoran Perisic. The bishop of Nis Eparchy Dr. Jovan is also expected.

LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION - MUNICIPAL PRIORITY

 The management of Palilula Municipality showed a high level of determination in resolving a number of requirements that apply to all the categories of people in Palilula. At the invitation of Boban Džunić, Palilula Municipal president, citizens keep suggesting Municipal Administration-Office for quick answers, their observations and initiatives that certain problems that affect the quality of life in the settlements could be resolved.
On this occasion, the Council of the citizens of PASI POLJANA organized a working meeting with president Dzunic at the terrain. The topic of this discussion was the reconstruction of the main street "1300 Kaplara."

`HOUSE OF GOOD HEALTH` COMPLETED THE ACTION IN PALILULA

 Health check of the citizens in rural areas, organized by Health Center in Nis in the cooperation with Palilula Municipality, last week was organized in Cokot village from 9 00 to 11 00 in Lalinske Pojate village from 11 30 to 12 30. Free health check service used 27 patients. With this activity called `Let get closer with our patients`, specially are taken into account the residents who are old, who have difficulties in moving and walking and who depend on others. Team of health workers from the Health Center Nis took anamnesis, completed clinical examination, ECG in house conditions, determination of sugar level, as well as giving advice to doctors related to chronic diseases treatment.

YOUTH SUMMER CAMP IN COMMUNITY CENTER OF PALILULA

 Group for Children and Young people "Indigo" in Nis, in cooperation with the Association Terra del Fuoco in Turin (Italy) with the support of the Reconstruction Women's Fund from Belgrade, organized from 1st to 6th August 2014, the summer camp "Step in - Step out " with 35 participants from Serbia-Nis and Italy. The camp was opened on 1 August and held in a "community center" in Dusan Popovic bb street, Palilula.
According to Tamara Simonovic, director of the organization "Indigo", which is the organizer and host of this activity, the goal of the camp is to contribute to greater social inclusion and active participation of women, especially Roma women in the creation and organization of international projects and exchanges.

EU FUNDS ARE HELPING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA NIS

 Being among the poorest municipalities, Palilula municipality in Nis is trying to apply for projects, in order to provide funds for various purposes. There is a recognition of representatives of the state leadership, that is in terms of success of carrying out cross-border projects, the first in the region, and there is the incentive for further project activities that are supposed to improve the lives of citizens. That's what Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula in Nis, said for the NTV.
